Secure Supplies Hydrogen

Gas and Powering  Technology

Healthy Community fueling is now available with hydrogen technology from Secure Supplies. We use a efficient  process to produce a combustible gas from the decomposition of water in an modern low amp low Kw setting. The gas, known as pure Hydrogen, contains pure Hydrogen and can be converted to provide usable energy:  gas, electricity and heat.  Other valuable by-products include pathogen-free blending gas to make Methane, Methanol Ethanol and other Primary gases and fuels.

Secure Supplies offers complete-mix Community fueling  systems in sizes to suit our customers' needs in the agricultural, municipal and industrial arenas.

Our systems are designed to accept a wide range of Hydrogen-based feedstocks, including ,LPG, Water,Methane,Methanol,Ethanol, formaldehyde, Peroxide  and more.

While our systems  operate in the mesophilic temperature range (around 40º Celsius), it is the complexity of the feedstocks that determine the additional need for various pre-processing facilities and distilation or purifcation  stages.  Our systems are designed to maximize overall system performance in terms of gas quality and quantity and long-term reliability.

There are no unusable waste products associated with a Healthly Community Fueling system.  The hydrogen gas and products produced can be scrubbed and used as fuel in specially designed motors.  Often it is used in CHP (combined heat and power) units where it is turned into electricity and heat.  It could also be upgraded to methane or methanol for a large range of engines and fuel cell use..

The produced fuel , power and heat is recycled to the system and can also be used in another process or the surrounding facilities.

After the inital fueling process has done it job to create clean fuels, addional products blends and fuels can be made from the base Hydrogen and oxygen we produce on site.

DISTRIBUTED POWER

Hydrogen Fueled Power Plants & Fuel cells can be used for intermittent power, when demand exceeds generation. These Can be Fuel from Renewable to H2 Gas via pipe line grids. Grids which are fast to deploy and more cost effective and reliable than electric grids.

During high-demand periods, most commercial industries would cut electricity usage when energy costs are at their maximum. However by utilizing hydrogen fuel from renewable, distributed by pipeline gas grid to hydrogen fueled engines and power plant &  fuel cells for peaking capacity, particularly during heavy energy demand periods in the summer months, utility operators can provide their customers with a more environmentally-friendly and cost-effective alternative than diesel or coal alternatives.

Many US states, including Ohio, have added distributed green power to ease the demand when grids are under the most pressure. Various Communities have installed a mobile and scalable Hydrogen Fuel Power Plants, Water Pumps and fuel cells. That can provide peak power and load management to utilities when and where it's needed.

A one-megawatt, hydrogen fueled Generator Power Plant or fuel cell unit – about the size of a semi-tractor trailer - can provide power to approximately 500 North American homes. The waste heat produced by the CHP Engine or  fuel cell adds further overall cogeneration efficiency as it can be used to warm buildings as well

Distributed Hydrogen Fueled Engines , Power Plants and fuel cell generation systems offer high reliability, low emissions and can save money for commercial customers. They will become the favored back-up system for peak power during periods of high grid power cost. Additional benefits include:

  • Reduction in peak demand on the electric grid

  • Excellent transient response and load following performance

  • Elimination of transmission and distribution losses

  • Low emissions

  • Increased reliability

  • Easily sited due to nearly silent and vibration-free operation

  • Reduced operation and maintenance requirement

The market for mobile and scalable supplemental fuel cell power solutions will continue to grow as the legislative demand for renewable and clean energy solutions grows. Using green power, such as fuel cells, allows utilities to meet increasingly stringent environmental requirements.

DISTRIBUTED ENERGY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD

Distributed energy is the generation, storage, and administration of energy resources in locations where they are consumed. Often these sites are remote, off-grid locations, where extended grids are not economically feasible. Secure Supplies  has the Hydrogen Fueled product range and resources and capability to offer a wide range of distributed power generation applications nearly anywhere in the world.

Technology

There are a number of sustainable development challenges involved in facilitating rural electrification and distributed generation. Secure Supplies’s containerized Hydrogen Fueled Prime Power Plant /Continuous Operation gensets combined with a number of  photovoltaic mini-grid and Community solar installations can be easily installed in remote and isolated areas.

One of our most important efforts is to provide power generation for all  isolated locations in Community areas.

In addition to providing Hydrogen fueled engines , we also provide operation and maintenance, spare parts, and any other services necessary to keep these power plants operating around the clock.

Reliability is critical, because these facilities are the only option these isolated communities (between 25,000 and 250,000 inhabitants) have for power.

What are the benefits of distributed energy?

  • Quick access to remote areas

  • Lower energy losses in transmission and distribution

  • Allows for cogeneration optimizing energy efficiency

  • Modular plants that reduce investment by changing size as demand grows

  • Reliable and lasting power supply

  • Adaptability to the type of fuel available at the installation site

  • Greater control and improved energy cost forecast

  • Improved stability of the voltage of the electrical network

  • Increase in contingency reserves
