ECU Injection Sensor Emulators
Emulators are electronic devices that simulate several original vehicle signals that have to be interrupted or altered during hydrogen gas operation (petrol injectors, Lambda probe, MAP, etc.)
Their use prevents the original control unit of the vehicle from detecting false malfunctions due to the fact that the engine is not running on petrol, and consequently prevents the “check engine” light on unwarrantedly.
The emulator model appropriate for each vehicle varies according to the type of original injection system.
Some Secure Supplies emulators are equipped with harnesses with connectors the same as those of the vehicle so as to avoid having to work on the vehicle’s original system.

The key function of an emulator is to fool the ECU, which believes the Injectors are all working well and not log any DTC, while engine is working on Hydrogen gas.
Addition function is to smooth the transition from Hydrogen gas to petrol injection or from petrol to gas, because Hydrogen gas needs some time to travel from fuel injector to engine cylinder, as most of the modification is single point injection placed near the throttle body. |
