ACU-302

The ACU-302 Series Conditioned Air Units comprise a line of diesel-electric and utility-powered electric air conditioning and heating units designed to service narrow body, regional jet and commuter aircraft worldwide.

These units employ environmentally safe R-134a refrigerant. Designed with commercially available parts, the ACU-302 requires extremely low maintenance, yielding a long life span and consistently dependable operation.

ACU-802

The ACU-802 Series Air Conditioning and Air Conditioning/Heating Units provide maximum passenger comfort in all types of aircraft.

Available in a wide variety of configurations, these units meet the requirements of all aircraft operators regardless of fleet size or local ambient conditions. Using R-134a refrigerant, the ACU-802 Series are environmentally “Safe” causing no damage to the atmospheric ozone.

The units employ an air-to-air type refrigeration system, and for operators requiring heat, can be supplied with an optional reverse-cycle “heat pump” system. Provisions are made to utilize engine coolant heat to augment the reverse-cycle heat mode.

There are no dangers of combustion or its by-products near the aircraft. The “change-over” from one mode to another is so simple that it can be performed by the operator on the ramp. Heating and cooling modes are available as required throughout the day without taking the unit out of service for adjustment.

ACU-804

The ACU-804 Series is a line of self contained, fully portable air conditioning units suitable for single connection aircraft throughout the world.

The ACU-804 has sufficient capacity to achieve and maintain comfortable cabin temperatures on any narrow or medium bodied aircraft in any climate. The simple but rugged design consists of a diesel engine directly driving for refrigeration compressor and blower. This is the unique “TLD Direct Drive” technology. Additionally, a hydraulically driven condenser fan exhausts waste heat directly upward making it immune to performance fluctuations due to varying wind conditions and minimising heat and noise radiated to the immediate ramp area.

ACU-808

The ACU-808 Series Air Conditioning Units provide passenger comfort for the largest aircraft in the most challenging ambient.

These units are equipped with a vertical condenser air discharge for sound attenuation and consistent heat rejection under all wind conditions. Using R-134a refrigerant, the ACU-808-Series is environmentally ‘’safe’’, causing no damage to the atmospheric ozone. The simple but rugged design consists of a diesel engine directly driving for refrigeration compressor and blower. This is the unique “TLD Direct Drive” technology. Available truck or trailer mounted, the diesel powered ACU-808 Series is the air conditioner of choice for the future.

ACU-902

The ACU-902 is an ecologically smart choice to satisfy the requirements of all aircraft operators, regardless of fleet size or location.

The ACU-902 ensures passenger comfort while minimising energy consumption and generated noise. The Advanced Control System automatically regulates the delivered air pressure and temperature by sensing ambient conditions and aircraft temperature, and supplying precisely the cooling (or heating) required. This is smart energy usage – a key characteristic of the ACU-902. Another smart choice is the use of R-134a refrigerant, an environmentally safe refrigerant which causes no damage to atmospheric ozone while requesting less power for a given performance.

The ACU-902 is designed to minimise generated noise. All equipment except the condenser fans are located in a tightly sealed and heavily insulated equipment space that isolates machinery noises from the ambient environment. The blower inlet is lined with special material designed to absorb blower noise before it can be released into the environment. The ACU-902 is designed to 80 dB(A) at 3 meters during full load operation, and is nearly silent during partial load conditions.

ACU-2000

The ACU-2000 Series trailer mounted Aircraft Heating Unit offers a range of models that deliver from 500,000 up to 1,000,000 Btu/Hr of clean pressurized, heated air to all aircraft or facilities equipped with a standard 8-inch (203mm) connector. The unit provides filtered air to maintain passenger comfort during aircraft turnover, or to maintain cabin temperature during layovers to prevent damage to onboard plumbing systems.

The gasoline engine supplies the thermal and mechanical energy required to operate the heating system. In the 500 KBtu/Hr model, the inlet air is heated by the blower heat of compression and then passes through a heat exchanger that recovers energy from the engine coolant circuit. In the 750 KBtu/Hr models an additional heat exchanger recovers energy from the engine exhaust. For the most severe environments the 1,000,000 Btu/Hr model combines these approaches with electric resistance heating elements powered by an external 90 KVA GPU connection (GPU not provided) The recovery and use of engine waste heat makes the ACU-2000 a very energy efficient unit. The design is inherently safe thru its avoidance of an open flame and its use of the exhaust gas to water heat exchanger which ensures no combustion by-products are introduced into the delivered air stream and eliminates the possibility of an over-temperature condition in the aircraft ductwork.

The ACU-2000 Series Heater provides operational modes to accommodate all weather conditions. In mild environment, use of the VENT mode allows a supply of ambient air to the aircraft, heated only by the blower heat of compression. In colder environments, HEAT mode is utilized to provide the full heating capability of the ACU-2000.

SCU-025

The SCU-025 is a supplemental, portable air conditioning unit that is designed to provide sub freezing air to aircraft in tandem with any large ACU. The SCU accepts cooled air from any suitable ACU and further cools the air to about minus 10°C (-15°F). This patented concept provides exceptional cooling efficiency while minimizing acquisition costs for subfreezing air systems. Equipment owners can continue to use their existing fleet of ACU’s in tandem with the SCU, resulting in a very low cost yet effective solution.

The simple yet rugged design consists of a diesel engine directly driving a refrigeration screw compressor and condenser fan. This is the unique “TLD Direct Drive” technology which provides more cooling for the same input power, and has a reduced part count, resulting in higher reliability and lower total cost of ownership.

The belt driven condenser fan exhausts waste heat directly upward making the unit immune to performance fluctuations due to varying wind conditions and minimizing heat and noise radiated to the immediate ramp area.
